What is $POP?
$POP is the native token of Proof of Play. It powers the ecosystem with:
Match fee discounts
Once Staking is live Staking Power (SP) will allow you unlock higher tiers
Referral and rake boosts are planned as well
Deflationary supply (burns)
What chain is $POP on?
$POP is deployed on Base (Ethereum L2). It inherits Ethereum security but with low gas fees and faster settlement.
How does staking work?
Lock $POP to generate Staking Power (SP).
Formula: SP = Tokens × Days Staked.
Higher SP unlocks better tiers with lower rake and higher referral bonuses.

What are the staking tiers?
There are 4 tiers:
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Diamond
Each tier reduces rake and increases referral % (see Staking & Tiers → Tier System).

What happens if I unstake early?
Early unstake = penalty.
100% of penalty is burned.
The closer you are to your lock end, the smaller the penalty.

How does burning work?
$POP is deflationary. Tokens are burned through:
Match rake (40% of rake burned)
Unstaking penalties (100% burned)
Why stake instead of just holding?
